Though my favorite color is RED, one occasionally must be exposed to other colors. I also like turquoise and periwinkle but don’t particularly like green so when I received an assignment to paint green it was a particularly difficult challenge. My first attempt was not at all successful. It was suggested that I do a lot of experimenting with combining yellows, blues and throw in some browns. The exercise was very revealing. I then went on to paint the next “green” assignment and was much more satisfied with it. I need to listen to my own advise that I give my quilting students and that is “practice, practice. practice.” I bet you have heard that before.
