Over the Moon was truly the most fitting expression of how I felt with some great news from our older son. He was here for a quick visit, which is always a pleasure. At the same time my bags were packed for an upcoming weeklong visit to the environs of San Diego. I spent a day and a half making the above 8 1/2” x 11” message for them to get in the mail before my departure. The technique was learned in Val Webb’s Watercolor Lettering class and was one of my favorites.
You may think you have seen the Robin before, which you have, but look carefully and you can see I added a “worm” to its beak. The message called out for that. Now I am working on a “shrine” for the art quilting class. It is all so much fun. Oh yes, I had a great, fun, inspiring week in SoCal.
