This year spring in northern California is kind of like a small town, if you blink you will miss it. It sure seems that way at any rate. We have had so many spring showers that we still have new mushrooms popping up on our property. That is a first for us in June. Spring is my favorite time of the year so if Mother Nature will not provide it, I will. The photo above is a little 12” x 12” quilt that I just finished and am ready to mail off to SAQA for their annual on-line fundraising auction. It represents a few of the things that spring means to me such as new life, buzzing bees, all kinds of flowers, sunshine, hope and of course birds nest full of eggs. Spring is an optimistic time of the year. Anything can be accomplished in the spring. Isn’t that true? I realize that the first day of summer is just a few days away, but I still want to have a bit more spring.
