This has been a fun and busy week with trick or treating and visiting a Discovery Museum with my sweet little granddaughter. When I arrived back home, there just seemed to be too much to do, but what else is new. This evening I finished a new watercolor that I had started earlier in the week. I had a lot of fun with this one. I guess I have said that before! I started this by applying spray gesso through a stencil, applying a watercolor wash, then stenciling watercolor through some sequin waste. I then sketched and painted this interesting flower pod picked from my Pilates teacher’s beautiful garden. The border represents a stylized image of the pods. If you look carefully in the upper right corner you can see the images of the rubber stamp I carved inspired by the larger flower pod. In the current on-line watercolor class that I am taking, we now need to dig in to our closets for material and inspiration. Stay tuned....
