During the month of January, there will be a quilt show at the Mill Valley Community Center, 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley. This must be at least the 15th time I have coordinated this show. For many years we exhibited at the Mill Valley City Hall, but are delighted to now be at the city’s beautiful community center. There will be 10 artists represented, all of whom live or have lived in Mill Valley plus our two very loyal and talented Muir Beach Quilters. The show goes up tomorrow. We will have an opening Tuesday night during the monthly Mill Valley Art Walk, from 6- 8 PM. Stop on by and say hello.
Other than than, I am working on finishing up another Doodle quilt in preparation for teaching a class at New Pieces in March. I’m taking a little break from on-line classes but am trying to do a couple of sketches each week. I find I really love to sit and draw. I have become so much more observant, to my dog’s chagrin, when I’m always stopping on the trail to examine some plant I’ve never paid attention to before. I have found a very unusual oak and a type of eucalyptus I had never seen before. Be on the look out for new sketches. In the mean time have a safe and Happy New Years.
