Yes, it has been months and months since I have written anything but that certainly doesn’t mean I have been sitting around eating Bon-Bons. During the summer we made several trips to the Northwest to spend time with the cute little redheads. We’ve also had fun visits with the little ones in Silicon Valley and of course there is that beautiful dog pictured above that loves a lot of attention and exercise.
In September I visited Paris for the first time. Now I truly understand why so many fall in love with Paris. I had tears in my eyes when I walked in to one of the Impressionist galleries at the Musee D’Orsay and saw some beautiful Manets, Monets and Renoirs for the first time. I was like a kid in a candy shop seeing the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame . St. Chappell took my breath away. We went on a food tour, a fabulous “Heminway in Paris” tour and visited Monet’s home and garden in Giverny. I just posted most of my sketches on the page titled On Location Watercolors. You can get a glimpse of the wonderful adventure that I went on with Jane La Fazio and fabulous friends.
In between travels I have been quilting, taking a few painting classes and doing Italian homework. The latter in preparation for my next trip to Italy. A presto!
