We had a lovely quiet Christmas which included a phone call from two grandkids and a fun
Facetime with the other two, while we watched them open presents. The rest of the day was left to walking the dog, relaxing and actually cooking a special Christmas dinner. I had purchased a little turkey breast, looked up a recipe on-line and enjoyed every tasty morsel. Of course the left overs are just about the best part. Later in the week we will have a belated celebration with our youngest and his family. I’ve been cleaning up my studio so the kids can do some art projects. I love the way they can create something with whatever is in front of them. We always have a lot of fun. One of our other favorite activities is simply taking a walk. For that we are hoping for a break in the rain. Two months ago we were very concerned about our counties almost empty reservoirs, but no longer. I don’t know that any are full, but we are no longer in a dire situation.
Now it is time for me to get back to my sewing room and finish a few more projects. I always find peace working with fabric and hearing the hum of my sewing machine.
Happy New Year, 2022, how can that be......
